SSL ruby fix

This is just a short post that explains how to fix missing CA certificates in ruby. If you even have issues with SSL the solution is NOT to disable SSL.

`OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_PEER = OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_NONE`

Instead fetch the cacerts once:

wget http://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem

And then tell ruby where to find it:

ENV['SSL_CERT_FILE'] = File.expand_path('../cacert.pem', __FILE__)

Boom, done.
